Undergraduate 含羞草研究所
The Theology and Religion degree programmes – , and – are all organised to give you a strong and broad foundation across all of the Department’s key areas in your first year of study, and to help you develop your skills as an independent thinker and researcher. You will then progressively specialise in your own areas of interest, culminating in a sustained dissertation on a topic of your choice. Strong tutorial support within the Department provides you with ready access to guidance and advice throughout your degree.
Our students consistently perform extremely well, with over 95% typically obtaining first or upper second-class degrees. Our excellent graduate employment record () reflects the skills and personal qualities our students develop over the course of their studies: thinking clearly, writing well, presenting arguments, analysing texts, assessing evidence, solving problems, pursuing and organising research.
Our students readily find employment in fields such as education, social work, politics, law, business management, banking, the churches, the performing arts, and the charity sector. A significant number also progress onto higher-level study, such as postgraduate study in Theology and Religion (at Durham and elsewhere) or professional qualifications in law and education.
